Personally though, I would never buy something like that for such an expensive device. I will still with my REAL OEM charger that I spent the extra money on. It's better than having cheap craftsmanship & a short in the wiring to screw up your device.

I used to think the same thing till I bought a charger once from some place with a spiffy logo and it was like $30 and then a few months later got another one from eBay for like $5... same exact item. Just the $30 one had a custom logo printed on it and a better package.

Tho I guess if you're buying something that really is HTC branded you can at least expect a certain quality level. But from anyone else no matter how much it costs you never can tell for sure.

Yep & that is the problem. with a $5 device you are essentially playing Russian roulette. You may get a good deal or a ruined device.. I am not willing to take that risk.

Re: New OEM TP2 car charger for $7 bucks.

I received this today in the mail.

I will say, I was stupid for jumping at the offer. But I tended to do so with my MDA without any problems. I won't be using this too often; I think I needed a car charger ONCE in the past 6 years when I went from work to softball to the bar with my MDA. It was working earlier and seemed to fit perfectly and look the same as the standard charger that came with the phone. Based on the packaging (and my experience) I think this was mislabled on ebay.

I personally am not one to buy "monster-cable-equivalents" for every gadg I own. I'll let you know if there are any problems, if I ever use it!

And this took WAY too long to get here. Three days my ***!

Props for searching the forum for this thread instead of posting a whole new one! DOWN WITH UNNEEDED THREADS!

I was just making jokes about buying anything at Big Lots today at work. All the food is stale and I was joking about people doing their grocery shopping there. Thanks for the callback.

I don't think HTC makes any microUSB devices, but I may be wrong. If that's true, then it would be a miniUSB charger.
