VZW TP2 Bluetooth can't receive files
 

It seems that I can't receive files via bluetooth. My friend has a Sprint TP2 and he can send and receive files via bluetooth from my XV6800. I have tried to do the same on 2 different VZW TP2's and they will not even acknowledge that another device is trying to connect to them..... Has anyone else had this issue and how do we fix it.....

The error comes up on the Sprint TP2 says " Device does not support a suitable service to perform this operation." when it tries to connect to the VZW TP2....... wth

Anyone..... Anyone on Verizon able to transfer any kind of files to your TP2 using Bluetooth???

Welcome to the wonderful world of Widcomm. Seems that bluetooth is hit or miss on this phone and seems to miss more often than it hits

I had no problem moving a few files from my old i760 to TP2 over Bluetooth. You do have to config it to allow receiving files, though...

No problems here. Did you allow incoming file transfers in the config? You have to Allow this device to receive objects under object exchange.

I had this problem too! You need to open the comm manager on your TP2, click on the bluetooth bar (not the button that sys on/off), this will take you into bluetooth settings, click on the settings tab (the one with the grey gears), click on the "plus" sign next to advanced, scroll down and click on "file transfer" and check "allow incoming file transfer connections and select save to storage card if you wish. Click on "done"....you can also select Object exchange if you wish to exchange bluetooth objects. On your computer you may need to refresh bluetooth services available from your TP2...give that a try :)

Thanks guys! I am getting a Verizon TP2 and I use bluetooth all the time I connect my laptop to my phone. This will save me from a lot of headache.

The messed up part is we both missed this.
And the strange thing is that we could not beam files to either brand new VZW TP2's but could to my Sprint TP2 and they both had the same unchecked settings.:drunken:
