I don't think there's going to be that many refurbished devices out there with the device only being available for a few weeks. I guess you can always keep replacing them if you have a problem, though.

Yeah, that's why I was so surprised when they sent me one. Having said that, when I looked in EPST the refurb status says "no".

I had a replacement arrive Tuesday last week and it was brand new. They didn't even send me a return label. I called back and they asked if my new one came with a battery or not. They also told me if I did not return the battery with the defective one I would be billed for the entire phone. I just got my label yesterday. My build date on the new one is Aug 31st and my software version is 18***.

Maybe they're locking down the US GSM like they were originally supposed to? I don't think they anticipated people buying the phone for $490, unlocking it for $15 and using it on GSM carriers. Especially since it ends up being $45 cheaper than T-mobile and AT&T's isn't even out yet.

I called Verizon yesterday and asked when they would have more in stock. I was told the TP2 would go back on sale Oct. 7.....but I'm still hoping it's before then.

Got my replacement this morning new in box still 6.1 everything looks good .

I was on the phone with a great technical support guy yesterday, trying to get another replacement device sent out. He said he would speak with some people, supervisors, check some departments and warehouses and call me back. 20 minutes later he called back and gave me the run down. The unofficial official word is that they may not be in until end of Novermber. I said WTF, you're kidding, but he said no. However, he spoke with some people who as he said "are really into what's going on with the TP2" and that the unofficial unofficial word is that there may be some small batches in next week. He's going to personally text me this friday and let me know what's up, and check every day for info on the inventory.

Really a great guy, further proves Verizon has pretty damn good CS.

I got my TP2 on Friday of last week (9/25). Today I noticed one of the arrow keys on the keyboard does not work. My phone was purchased as part of a government contract (GSA) and I called Verizon government customer support to ask about a replacement. I was told they have them in stock and I will receive a new phone and not a refurbished one as the replacement.

A friend of mine's business rep said they pulled them due to a recall with the touch screen. He said he had 2 units for them which he sent back, and said the replacements would be out in about 7 days. This was a voicemail left yesterday....if you're REALLY REALLY interested I will bust out my audio editing and post a clipped .wav file. Maybe this is due to the dead pixel issue or something? Or it could be BS and he was just giving an excuse for a delay.
