Can the TP2 be networked to share files?

I can connect to my home network no problem...I keep a lot of my WM software on my desktop pc in case I need to reinstall any of it...it would be nice to be able to connect my TP2 to my network and then be able to move files from my computer to the TP2...problem is my TP2 doesn't show up on my Windows 7 pc as a member of my home network...is what I am trying to do even possible?

I don't think there's anyway to map or share a folder on your TP2, but if you really wanted to manage it over Wi-Fi you can use SOTI Pocket Controller to do this.

Best thing I've used for this is http://mymobiler.com/

Once you install on your PC, you can then connect your TP2 and use mymobiler's built in file explorer to transfer files to and from your phone. You also have the option to do this through wifi which is nice.

Second option, although this might require cooking if that's available, would be to used the usb-pc feature so that your pc see's your phone as a storage card.

Last option would be to use Orb. Once you set it up on your pc, simply browse your filesystem from the orb website on your phone and download to your hearts content (this may be the slowest option depending on connection).

Hope that helps!

Actually there are 2 ways for you to access network shared files from your Touch Pro 2. The easiest way is using your phone's wifi connection, use this program called GSFinder and there is a connect network drive option that once enabled, you can enter the path of your local shared drive. It will then show up under the "Network" directory in the main root of your device.

The second option which is a little more involved is setting up FTP on your desktop and then you can use this to access your shares while outside of your network over your phones data connection. I use this option all the time because like you I have a lot of files that I want to access while I am at work.

You might also want to give Resco file explorer a try. It has a network share mapping feature, which Im currently using on my TP2 to access samba shares on a linux box. Its pretty easy to setup/use, and it works very well.

I use Resco file explorer. Can map network shares all day long....over wifi inside my network. Can also map them from the outside but it requires some permissions on network shares and some firewall exceptions, but can be done.

I think he's trying to access TP2 files from his PC over the air, not access his PC files from his TP2
