Touch Pro 2 -People without defects thread!
 

Well Since we already have a thread on people with defects I figured I would start one seeing just how many folks are not experiencing any issues. Here are my 2 Sprint toys, both without defect as of today! In addition I would like to add those folks who have the defects or annoyances of other users that really don't affect or annoy them.

No defects in my one week old Verizon TP2, best phone I've ever owned hands down.........

Excellent thread :mrgreen: How about no defects that concern me?

I finally got around to reading the dead pixel stickey, and when I performed the camera test I saw one pixel. I had to look hard, and had I never gone into that thread, I'd never have seen the pixel.

I had a slight bulge on the RH side of my device, where the back slides over the locks. Again, I didn't really even notice it until somebody posted about theirs....and theirs were a lot worse than mine.

One happy camper here still.

mine has no defect ... works great have made some mods .. have even hard reset a few times to start fresh and its been great .. im trying to get optimal battery life now and playing with some things so we shall see .. worst case ill buy the seido 1750 battery once the have the desk changer for the spare bat , at least that way i can hot swap ..

i haven't found one yet and i ordered my phone day of launch. i don't have any dead pixels but what i think everyone is talking about is when browsing the web sometimes the top left pixel will get stuck, it is very minor but it is not a defect of the actual screen because it will change a couple of secs later, i think it has something to do with memory but custom roms or the rom update should fix that.

does your bottom manilla tabs have color because you are using the clear slider or because of the updated bottom pics have been changed. sorry to thread jack.

My Sprint TP2 is perfect too. Not a single problem after installing over 80-90 apps and cabs.=D>

No problems yet but I've only had mine since Monday. Still totally stock with no mods or changes.

I had a Touch Pro before getting my TP2 and I expect just minor improvements... Even though most of it is the same underneath, it feels like a totally different phone. It's much faster, the keyboard is great, the screen is awesome, and even the stock ROM works well (I can't imagine how nice a custom one will be). Great job HTC!

Head and shoulders above my TP... It's an amazing phone and I haven't had any issues at all with it.

i get my replacement today, hopefully i can post it in here as un defective..

edit: my replacement is beautiful, the screen is so much more sturdy than my last... and no noticable pixels at anytime.... I love this phone

i got my verizon tp2 on sept 12, with no defects. i love my WM phone.

Add me to the list of those loving the phone. By far the best WinMo phone I've ever owned. My only annoyance is the ringer issue, but that will be fixed soon enough and isn't a hardware problem.

+1 . MY FAV WIN MO phone ever! No defects no issues 1wks strait use I have dowloaded atleast 20 cabs so far and done a few Reg eddits So far so good.

I'm with ya.. .I had to hard reset mine 2 days after I got in on 9/17 because audio and bluetooth tweaks made it where callers couldn't hear me through the handset or headset. :headbang: Live and learn is the only way. :)

It's my second WM phone, first was an VZW Omnia, loved that one but the TP2 is incredible. No defects, bunch of HR's and bunch of cabs and tweaks and it runs like a charm. And the radio (phone) on it is so much better than my prior Sprint phone, no dropped calls, signal is much better and soudns are clearer, even better than my Omnia on VZW's network!!

No physical defects. I suppose you could argue a few software glitches as defects, but those are easily remedied, lol. :)

I *LOVE* my Touch Pro 2. This is the phone I wanted to buy when I bought my first one two years ago! :)

No noticable defects on mine. I refuse to look for dead pixals, if I can't see them normally then they do not exist.
I agree with all of the others, BEST phone I have ever owned. Almost perfect.

Give me a a phone similar in size to an x51 with 800x600 res, USB host, and the ability to run a desktop OS. (7?) and I think I would get out of the yearly upgrade game. Looks like I will not have much longer to wait.

Well done HTC and Sprint, now lets see what the community can do with this excellent piece of hardware.

Haven't had any issue with my Tmobile TP2, I've had it for a good 3 weeks now. I did have to reset it to factory defaults once but that's just due to a bad app install.

Best phone I've ever had also! Love it even in its stock ROM state. I'm not using TouchFlo 3d and have applied a few of the memory tweaks and show 126.88 free memory upon boot! Only issue I've had is related to losing contact with the SD card at times but I believe that's an SD card issue.

got mine defect free and so far im really digging this device, i cant wait til i can use 6.5 though kinda fell in love with it on my tp not a big fan of tf3d, but still love this phone

i had this happen to me when i first bought my phone, except mine kept loosing contact every 5 minutes. I had to format my sd card and i haven't had that problem since. move everything off your card format then move it back on and you should have no problem.

Defects? Probably not, but...

When setting the backlight value to 30 seconds or whatever, it lasts for a while and then reverts to 10 seconds.

I have had to reestablish the hotsync relationship twice.

The Bluetooth has unBluetoothed one time since 9-4.

The only time I have reset it (none on its own) has been to undo changes that I was too lazy to prepare for by backing up first.

Other than that, it just works 24/7.

No problems at all with my Verizon TP2. HTC (and Verizon) really did good on this one. Love the screen, love the keyboard, love the Manila interfaces, Love the overall functionality of it. It really flows well together. Of course, being on this forum for 2 years and on my 4th gen HTC PPC (Apache, Titan, Touch Pro, Touch Pro 2), I have been following all the updates and tweaks, and we've come a long way. Way to go!!! :)

Week 2 - No problems. I just catch myself going to the power settings to see if the taskbar icon is correct. I use to charge my TP at least once a day at work after starting fully charged at 7:00 am. Now 70% to 80% when I get home.

I can go a couple of days on the TP2. I am not a heavy user, 5 to 6 text messages, synching with exchange every 5 mins, a couple of videos.

My only problem is - it is hard to put the phone down. The only reason to flash now, is to have something different.

Maybe I shouldn't answer, since I have issues, but I don't consider them defects. And many are software related, like the horrible calendar, and that isn't really an issue with the TP2. Hardware-wise, I have no defects. That doesn't mean I don't think that I could design a better phone at the creative level (I'm sure we all could).

My vision would be a Super Mogul, with all the best features of the TP2 (screen resolution and size, 5-row keyboard (hopefully not failure-prone), memory, software (mostly), etc.). I would have all the buttons, scroll wheel, D-pad, etc., but for those who don't want them, you could TURN THEM OFF.

It would keep the flash/flashlight, the IR port (but even enhance that over what the Mogul had, back to what the Samsung i730 had, a high-power IR with software included to remote control TV's, etc., from across the room, great fun in bars).

Of course, if I ever have enough power over time and space to make the Super Mogul a reality, I should probably solve world hunger, crime, and terrorism first, and restore personal liberties everywhere, including in Kommiefornia.
