Zagg Invisible Shield BACKORDERED

Anyone else recently order an Invisible full body shield from ZAGG and show a Back-ordered status. I ordered mine last night and its showing as Back-ordered.

Try out Ghost Armor. I used to use Invisible Shield but Ghost Armor blows it away. The screen protector isn't "sticky", it seems to apply easier, and no orange peel.

I agree Ghost Armor is the better product.

InvisibleShiels is HORRIBLE for touchscreen devices that involve swiping across the screen. I'd advise you cancel the order.

thats because it wasnt placed on right.... you have the solution and squegee for a resason to work them out.... you have to be patient and start at the edge and work your way through to get the bubbles ouut and not just slap it on there and slide it around than use the squegee to remove the solution from underneathe.

how r zagg and ghost armor covering the sprint tp2 back? all those holes... seems like it would be difficult to put on if they actually customized it with those holes.

Re: Zagg Invisible Shield BACKORDERED

They don't cover the holes. That part is open.

How well does the Ghost Armor work?

I ordered a VZW TP2 face shield this afternoon and my order status is "In Process" and not backordered.

It seems to work as well as any other of these types of skins work. The stuff feels really tough and after a couple of days it is hard to tell the phone even has it on, unless you are looking for it.

I had the Ghost Armor on my Palm Pre and after a couple weeks the sides started peeling. I heard good things about Zagg and figured I would try them out.

I may cancel my order because they haven't even responded to my email yet!

I went with Ghost Armor and am pleased. Not as grippy as Zagg and no orange peel effect. You can order a "warranty" for $.01 plus shipping from Ghost Armor which gets you a second set if you ever need to replace it.

So is ANYONE happy with the Zagg product on their TP2? I have heard nothing but good, which is why I finally ordered, and now I see this thread

PS: Mine has shipped, ordered a few days ago.

you're better off with the ghost anyway.

I used both products on my old xv6800's & I MUCH preferred the ghost stuff (although I don't like either one on my screen, I use Brando stuff for the screen)

Re: Zagg Invisible Shield BACKORDERED

In my experience Zagg protectors have the most orange peel, thickness, and tackiness feeling of all of these types of protectors compared to Ghost Armour, PhantomSkinz, BestSkinzEver, and BodyGuardz.

As a side note PhantomSkinz now has a skin for the Verizon model. I sent my phone into them earlier this week and they were able to to use it to cut a skin template. I also think they are the best value with there 33% off discount code.

I loved the Zagg on my Mogul and put one on my Diamond, too. It does have a rubbery feel to it when you first put it on, but that goes away in a day or tow. The orange peel thing people mentions comes from not putting it on correctly --- watch the video! I have put them on 2 phones, 4 Zunes and 2 cameras and all are on well enough so that you can't tell it has a screen protector unless you look hard.

Don't be sad. Everybody has their own opinions. If I got the other brand first, I'm sure I would have been happy. The bashing based on opinion is dumb. I also love Sprint, Ford and Microsoft. I'm an idiot for sure.

Have you physically compared your Zagg installed protector to another device with another brand? The Zagg protector definitely has more of an orange peel affect than other brands. Not to mention the Zagg protector is more expensive than BodyGuardz, BestSkinsEver, or PhantomSkinz. It seems to me Zagg is selling an inferior product and relying on their brand and the fact that they were first to market with this type of protector.

Here is a good comparison picture showing the orange peel.

Not once in my post did I say that Zagg was better. I said I liked it. The other poster already ordered one and was worried I was trying to show that it isn't as bad as all of the bashers say. I don't consider it inferior. It's different. Everybody has a favorite. Geez. :(

of course, a screen protector like the Brando blows away eith one of these setups. If you take a shot like that of a Brando Ultraclear, it will look like there is no protector at all installed..

True the Brando is just a different type of protector made from plastic with a PET coating. Brando, Boxwave, and Martin Fields are all similar types and crystal clear. The Zagg, PhantomSkinz, BodyGuardz are another type and made from a different material. Each have pros and cons. The Zagg types are made from urethane and are much more flexible and allow for a full body installation. The Brando type is more rigid and must be installed on a flat service like a screen. I wrote an article a while back about them here

Re: Zagg Invisible Shield BACKORDERED

I ordered min on Tuesday night the second I got the notification e-mail that it was available. I got a Zagg the first time with my Sprint TP and fell in love with the quality and protection. Until the picture posted above, I didn't understand what "Orange Peel" meant. Now I do, and understand that there is that type of quality to the protector. However (it is TOTALLY a matter of taste) I kind of like it because to me it means there is a thickness to the protector. It doesn't have any effect on the screen visibility either. But to me it feels thick and protected. I understand how some users don't like the "stickiness" of it either, but to me these are all qualities of good/strong protection. Maybe some of the others are better, but I have never tried them so can't speak about them. I was just impressed with Zagg and couldn't wait for them to release the Verizon version. They aren't cheap either, but when it comes to protecting your electronics, what's an extra 10$ to protect a 500$ device? They won me over with the TP, and released the TP2 protector quick enough (I though about trying another brand). I have some loyalty to them. I just wish there was a kiosk around that could do the install for me. Too much pressure for me :)

Re: Zagg Invisible Shield BACKORDERED

Not sure why the OP's order is backordered as I ordered mine yesterday afternoon and this evening it's displaying as shipped, so I don't know why mine would have shipped since I ordered later. I've never had a screen protector before, but I didn't feel it was needed on my 6700 as I didn't touch the screen a lot or take it anywhere it may get scratched, but with this phone, I feel like I'm going to use the screen a lot more and use the device more in general and would like the extra protection. If something does happen though, I have insurance and can get a replacement for the phone, and the protector has a warranty as well.

this protector doesnt seem to has as much "orange-peel" as the one on my TP1. I wonder if it has to do with the way its installed.

Installed my Zagg tonight, too, and compared to my camera it does seem to be less "orange peel" as well.

How hard was it to install compared to the OEM and also has anyone put the full body one on? just wanted to know how hard this is to put on.

Re: Zagg Invisible Shield BACKORDERED

I only have the screen, not full body. I've done it a few times on other devices and it still took me twice to get it right. Luckily it can be pulled up and re-done. It looks good, now, though.

Got my Zagg shield put on last night. A lot less orange peel than they used to have. Full body shield was very easy to put on.

Ghost Armor DOES NOT fit the Sprint version of the phone. They advised the Sprint shield should be available soon. They were supposed to receive a phone to create the template sometime this weekend.

Just installed the body piece and if you take your time it's not a difficult task at all. I have yet to put the screen protector on.

Re: Zagg Invisible Shield BACKORDERED

The Zagg screen protector was easy to install, but I struggled with getting the body piece installed correctly. The gap in the middle caused me trouble (I must have not done it correctly - I guess).
The screen protector was about 1 mm short (length) - but barely noticeable once it is centered correctly.
I'm happy with it (just hope I never have to reinstall it! lol)
