Transfering contacts from TP to TP2
 

Well, I just brought my new TP2 in to the Verizon store and spent an hour waiting for the transfer.

For whatever reason, they couldn't do it and now I'm trying to find another way.

Won't be a big deal to do it manually, but I'd rather see if there is some method I can use for it instead.

Do you sync it to your computer with Microsoft Outlook?

Try Microsoft Myphone... It syncs to the cloud. All you have to do is install on old device - sync, install to new device sync.

If your old device is already cut off - then you can use something like PIM Backup, or Active Sync with Outlook.

download ppcpim backup from here http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Sy...up-35107.shtml

save it to your storage card. use the back up feature and it will save a pim back up to your storage card. put the storage card into your pro2. open up ppcpim backup again and click the drop box and click restore and select the pim backup thats saved on your storage card and then you're set.

Well, I use OS X so I'm not sure if I can even use the Active Sync with Outlooks.

Having a bad day with my tp2. I had to do a hard reset. I had a back-up using SPB. After completing the restore from the back-up file I noticed it didnt set up the contacts even though they are in the file. I tried to sync them with ActivSync but now it only lets my device show as a guest. Been searchin and trying everything suggested but still no go. Is there another way I can just copy over the file? I even tried windows live but its not copying over the contacts to the phone.

Use Google Sync to synchronize your contacts, emial, and calendar appointments. Only thing left out is tasks. But there are plans to add it soon I believe.

Microsoft myphone works perfectly for contacts, calender, texts, pics, vids, documents, notes and all that stuff. Its pretty easy and since its from a Touch Pro just use wifi to sync on ure touch pro and then sync it on ure touch pro 2.

That's what I use. Very fast easy to use, and works great. Not complicated at all.

+1 thats what I used to get my tp contacts to my tp2, pim backup is so easy even a caveman can use it.

That (PIM) is what I am going to try (backing up now) because my SPB Backup 2.0 restores my Emails and PIM to the TP2 but it starts acting all screwed up like the calendar doesn't work, etc. then I have to hard reset.

I had the same problem till I got a sprint rep that knew how to copy window mobile pim file from my phone to my micro sd then from micro sd to my TP 2 ... No im not sure how to do it but a little search on how to copy window mobile pim file should come up with the answer

i use myphone. it worked great when i went from TP to TP2
