1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

I installed a 1% batter driver, not nuepower, but another one ( no2chem and chainfire 1 percent touch pro 2 battery driver ) and I woke up to 75% battery... today I made one 1 minute phone call, and 10 text messages, and my phone rocketed down to 5% from 9am to 11am. I cant figure out why I watched my phone battery plummet after only 25% on one days use, suddenly fall 73% in 2 hours... thats crazy...

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

It's totally wrong on mine too but it's better than 10% I guess...

BillJr106 09-23-2009 11:32 AM

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

Actually its not better at all... If I think I have 75% and that it throttles down to 0 within one hour, that is totally useless to me... Is there a better battery driver???

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

Does anyone know a better 1% driver?? Is nuepower still the best?

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

I dont HAVE to have the fast charge on do I ?? I dont want to risk burning up my USB port... maybe if I am in a hurry I can do it once in a while... but no need to run that puppy so hot all the time...

Im also going to give it a go... is it more accurate than the no2chem?? I remember my old Nuepower driver was pretty spot on... Thanks again, I'll post results once my phone finishes charging...

The new version is directly from No2Chem's website, Seen Here

and the fast charge is only an option. By default it is NOT enabled, so if you simply only want the more accurate battery driver then you dont need to even run the config program

you need to have the modified taskbar, as discussed here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=78019

Here is the link for the CDMA modified taskbar

Im a little confused... you said the new one is from No2Chems site... however the driver that was posted on this thread is NuePower.... are these the same or are we talking about 2 different drivers??

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

Well I removed the xda battery meter I was using, rebooted. Removed the previous battery driver, did the softreset like the uninstaller prompted me to. Then I installed the new battery driver posted here, rebooted, then installed the xda battery meter again and rebooted. All *looked* good but it's only reading in 10% increments.

I think a hard reset is in order but I use my phone for work and won't be able to until saturday or sunday.

This is the battery meter I'm using BTW...

Ok I installed NueBattery and it doesnt seem to have done anything... as per that homepage, I should get new information on the Battery page in settings... I do not... I am still getting the basic info...

Is there any trick to getting this to run??

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

Its in programs. Open nuebattery and check first box. Thats it.

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

the newest battery driver is the cab titled:
nueBattery2TP2CDMA-122-v1.2-cab.cab
from THIS WEBSITE HERE

After you install the cab you need to go to:
Start -> All Programs -> neuBattery2 Settings
in there make sure to check the first box to in fact allow 1% increments of the battery meter
if you want to allow the fast charge via USB then check the second box

i personally left all the remaining settings alone.

oh and No2Chem = nueBattery and all other nueSoftware

Hey I just tried what the gentleman said, go into programs, its all the way at the bottom ( Not Alphabetical for some reason ) and turn on 1% battery readings... I just did this and it seems to be working fantasitcally..... I will post results tomorrow on whether it craps out on me after 70% like that last one did...

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

Lol! That explains why mine wasn't in 1% increments!

I just enabled it!

Thanks!

I have to say... that new driver is accurate, reliable, and much better than the previous one I had installed. Thanks to the poster who pointed me in the right direction!

Re: 1% Battery Driver Inaccurate??

I tried a few of these 1% battery drivers and had some mixed feelings with all of them. While some work better than others (Neubattery was best in my opinion), most seemed to affect the charing light turning green at full charge. I read that this may be due to the battery never really hitting that "100%" charge however even with the phone showing 100% full charge with 1% increments and leaving it to sit overnight, it never changed to green. Not a huge problem, but would have been nice.

FYI, nearly every new driver required a hard reset to work properly so backup before testing more than one!

1 Attachment(s)
UPDATE: I found a perfect working 1% battery driver which seems to be amazingly accurate. I can verify that it functions properly and the charging LED turns green when fully charged and yes, the battery does reach the full 100% charge each and every time I charge it. I am on Sprint Network TP2 so I downloaded and installed the corresponding file from the site below. I also have the Rhodium Notification Manager Enhancement installed which gives the better menu when you tap the status icons from the home page. You will need that or another battery display icon which will support the new percentage view. The driver can be found here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556318

OR

Sprint Users can download and install the attached package which will give you the Enhanced Notificaiton Manager & the 1% Battery Driver. Be sure to install SDCERTS.cab first!

The http://www.nuerom.com site is a complete disaster. It amazes me how people can be so skilled at coding open source and yet so predictably awful at documenting and linking to their source.

The http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/pos...Build-122.aspx driver is not linked and instead the OLD driver is linked to the download page...

Bah, I'm having the same problem, and this is the first battery driver I've installed (although, nuepower worked great on my original TP).

Read the post directly above the one you just posted. You are using the wrong driver. The author has linked the wrong driver to the download section of his horrible website.
