From what it sounds, I don't think it's possible. But then again, I am the last person who should be commenting on TF3D tweaking.

Best thing you can do, swipe up, it will make clock fairly small

It is very possible with doing some editing of manila files, I've done a clear screen before on the VGA version. Takes some time but it's doable
