How do I replace htmlnote.dll in the windows folder?
 

I am trying to overwrite it with Total Commander and it isn't letting me. Any ideas?

try using this..when installed go top right click and choose edit REG..i had best use on this others alway pop cant edit or overwrite error..this just works for me..let me know how it goes

this is a registry editor. the process that i am trying has nothing to do with reg.

I found in one case Total Commander would "Move" a file but not "Copy" over a read-only file in the Windows directory

it wont move, wont copy, and it wont delete the origial file in the windows

so i tred to install it on the main device. this is what i got.
"installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions"

It sounds to me like the file might be in use while you're trying to overwrite it. Try removing poutlook temporarily from /windows/StartUp and possibly disable TouchFlo 3D (or Sense, etc.) from the Items on your Today screen. Then reboot your phone and try to copy it again right after you reboot.

Can you rename the old file? If you can do that, the move the new file, reset, and delete the old file. Might work. :)

This file contains things for SMS, email, etc that can easily break those functions. Be careful with whatever it is you plan to do with it.

i just want to be able to delete it
