I ran them both on a VZW stock 6.5 and it seems fine- got me down to about 50% on a reset and a steady state around 60. Not ideal, but improved...

HKLM\Software\HTC\PushInternetEngine\Enable => change to 0 ??

I don't see one with exactly what you put. I'm using WM6.1 Stock ROM; you might be using something different.

I'd prefer doing it this way, as the No Push Internet CAB caused some funky behavior in AutoRotation for Opera (when I was in Landscape, and hit Favorites, Favorites would still be in Portrait - if I uninstalled this CAB, this function returned to normal).

I'm using Mighty War rom and in the registry my proxy and push internet is already set to 0 without installing the cabs.

Hi guys,

Is pushinternet a function of TF3D only? In other words, I have TF3D turned off, so I'm just using the old school windows settings (today screen, etc). I just find it to be cleaner, simpler, and less buggy that way. Anyway, I'm wondering if I need to install the nopushinternet cab if I have TF3D disabled. Will it make a difference in performance/memory usage? I have noticed that even with TF3D off, opera doesn't show up on the taskbar, and it does load rather quickly (and loads on last page I closed), so is it safe to assume it's running in the background the whole time?? Will the nopushinternet cab help in that case?

Thats what I'm running on the verizon 6.5 rom without adding these. What were you at before?? If I'm already that low without these, will these even help me?

+1 here on tom888's question above. will the no push internet cab work if i am not using tf3d on stock rom?

the reason why i turned off tf3d on my phone was because i noticed when i have it on, im at 58%-62% on my phone. but when i turned it off, was able to get back 10% (now starting up with 46% on soft reset). but one of the advantages i see of getting the tp2 was for the tf3d...want to be able to use it again.

edit: is the no push internet the same as the registry edit on some posts in this thread made into a cab file?

to answer tom888 & i's question.....installed both cabs as of 10:04 pm today. and i must say, i can now go back to using TF3D and boot at 38%! verdict = works well with stock as well!! thanks given to the OP.

The push internet is for Opera and not for TF3D, so as long as you have Opera then it should help you.
