PPCGeeks - Problems with Mobile browsing on Verizon TP2

It seems whenever I go to a page that is supposed to support a mobile browser on my Verizon TP2 I end up being displayed the desktop version of the site and am unable to access any mobile specific features or page layouts. This happenes on Orb, m.opera.com/next, twoplustwo.com and others. All of these sites have mobile versions to display but I get the full desktop version every time. If I set opera's options to mobile view, it just centers the entire site making it easier to scroll. In IE its the same thing, I get the desktop version on the mobile browser, even with set as mobile turned on. What should I do?

Another thing, when I change in Opera the number of tabs I want to be maximum in the advanced settings page, when I click save I get an javascript error that says changes may not take effect until browser is restarted. Well I restart the browser and the phone even and opera always goes back to 2 max tabs.
