I definitely discourage the method documented of using different/non-existant DLL's.

Beyond that, 8notime's advice is definitely the easiest.

GoodThings2Life, I have your Touch Pro2 Tweak installed, and the above registry entry is already in. I am still not getting the classic notifications, is there anything else you changed?

Thanks

The thing that drives me crazy is that there's no way to turn off the reminder repeats. The option is completely grayed out in the setting screen. So the reminder dings every 30 seconds or so until you acknowledge it. I've cabbed up the solution to this and attached it. This solution disables the repeat and makes this option available/configurable in the settings screen.

Only tested on the Verizon TP2, but should be compatible with the others as well. The .cab makes the following regedit:

HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{15F11F90-8A5F-454c-89FC-BA9B7AAB0CAD}\Options change value to decimal 1073741837

Very nice. Worked beautifully.

This didn't work for me.

Update - while the above registry edit did not fix the problem, it DID break the notification screen. When I tap on an icon up in the notification area, I get nothing but a gray bar right under the taskbar. Reverting this entry back to 0 fixed the problem.

I have left the registry entry and don't seem to have that problem.

Is there a way to go into the Calendar settings (like on the XV6800 and other WindowsMobile devices) and just turn reminders off by default, but still let you select to have a reminder if you want to when scheduling an appointment?

I can't find the settings for that anywhere...

Open up the regular calendar (not TF3D) by going to Start>All Applications>Calendar, then click Menu>Tools>Options>Appointments.

Anyway to stop the notifications from reminding every 30 seconds?
