TP2 Charge Times
 

Anyone know about how long it takes for a full charge on their Touch Pro 2 ?? Mine shows as fully charged in the battery section of the system tab, yet the light is still Yellow... Actually I dont think I ever have seen it turn green... anyone ??

It takes a while, but it will turn green. :)

mine seems like it takes a ridiculously long time to charge completely. i guess i'm always messing with it when it's charging too (i guess i'm messing with it all the time lol). but it still seems like it takes quite a long time to charge when my last phone, the mogul, seemed like it took no time at all.

I think it took my phone about 3-4 hours to get a full charge with little to no use while it was charging. I'm guessing the battery is one that will get up to ~90% charge within an hour (likely less) but then takes a significantly longer time to get the remaining charge.

lol! Do you happen to have wifi or bluetooth turned on while it's charging? and is it plugged into a wall or usb?

I think charging it by usb/computer makes it display "full charge" quicker even though from my tests with the 1% increment battery driver, it only charges 86%.

Having it plugged into the wall takes quite a while longer to display "full charge" even when it says 100%.

User's Guide says ~3hrs for a full charge, seems quite accurate from my experience.

3 hours for full charge out of box for me. Actually let it sit without playing with it for 3 hours.

i'd say it's a little longer than the tp cause of the bigger battery

I believe the phone is setup not to fully charge everytime it's connected to a power source.

It seems like when I'm screwing with it, transfering stuff to memory card or what have you and the battery is close to full, it doesn't seem in a hurry to keep recharging that last <10%, which would only decrease battery life.

Considering how many different phones they have on the market, I have to believe that they know what they are doing at this point, time will tell....
