TP2 will not resume from standby
 

Ok, I did use the search function and I aslo searched google. Only thing I can find does not help me as it was related to the sim card and was only sporadic. I have removed my sim card to see if that helped...no dice. Whenever my phone goes into standby, I can not get it to resume. I have to reset it every single time. I just got it today. This is very frustrating.

perhaps with just getting it today...the battery is very low? i know when mine arrived the battery was at 20% at most.

i considered that too so i let it charge for a couple of hours, didnt help :(

Wouldnt you just know it. After I finally break down and ask for help I think I figured it out. I was browsing the registry (like most of us do when we have a problem) and ran across these 2 entries:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\POWER\TIMEOU TS\ACRESUMINGSUSPENDTIMEOUT
and
HKLM\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\POWER\TIMEOU TS\BATTRESUMINGSUSPENDTIMEOUT

Both were set to 1 and I changed them to 0. Now, my screen tiurns on again. Not every single time but eventually it does. Going to play with a few more settings and see if it helps.

I can't see how your registry entries can be any different then every other Sprint TP2 that is working normally. Especially since you got it today. Did you install anything?

I would do a hard reset before going through the registry and changing random entries. Sprint didn't ship you a phone that doesn't come out of standby.

Actually, they did. Ive done numerous hard resets without installing a single thing and I still have the same issue.

I have now noticed that It will sometimes resume if I open the keyboard and tilt the screen up. The screen will remain on after closing until it goes back to sleep. I have also noticed via trying Lumos that my light sensor randomly stops working. It seems that when the sensor stops working, my screen will not come back on. But when it is working, the screen will resume just fine every time. Im going to give it the weekend of messing with it and see if anyone has any ideas, then Im calling sprint for a replacement.

If hard resetting isn't working I would just write it off as hardware problems. There isn't anything else that could be it if no one else has the issue. either that or it needs to be reflashed, but then again there is no stock ROM available to download.....

I had my TP2 for one day and it wouldn't even turn back on when it went into sleep mode. I called them and got a replacement. It seems as if sprints TP2's are pretty buggy

i had this problem with my touch and my TP1 until i was able to reflash them. the touch was very bad.TP1 was a little more intermittent.after goin to custom roms,it never happened again.

Had the phone since Sept. 4th and it has never froze or got stuck yet.
