Screen Standby Mode During Call
I use a bluetooth ear piece for a majority of my calls. When I placed a call with my old HTC Touch, I would wait for the call to connect and I would put the phone in standby mode and put it back in the pouch. When I do this with the TP2, the screen goes out but as soon as I start to slide it in the case, it lights back up (Proximity sensor activates) and calls get hung up, 2nd lines get opened up, etc. etc. is there a fix so that if I push the standby(power) button on the top of the phone, the screen with stay off?
I've used the search, but seem to find nothing. |
Re: Screen Standby Mode During Call
psshutxp will do the screen off...
how bout NOT turning the screen off first, just put it in the case, now the prox sensor will only turn it off when u put it in, not turn it on.. you dont have a case with a magnetic encloure do you??? the screen is meant to turn on or off then... |
Re: Screen Standby Mode During Call
the case I have is magnetic. Is that bad? also the psshutxp is installed on my phone. it doesn't keep the screen off. the sensor will turn the screen back on. is there a way to disable the proximity sensor altogether?

Re: Screen Standby Mode During Call
The problem is with your pouch. The magnetic field is causing the Proximity sensor to avtivate and diactivate ramdomly. In other words it's getting confused. I know this because someone else about three weeks back was having the same problem and the conclusion was that the magnetic case was causing it.
There is a thread on here but i can't seem to find it. Anyhow this should solve your problem. |
