My phone has never been mistaken for an iphone, but somebody came up to me and asked me if my blue netbook (Asus 1000HE) was a mac. I was like wtf? Since when does apple make tiny blue computers that don't have the apple logo?

I think people assume that if something is nice-looking then it just HAS to be made by Apple. I'm just waiting for my laptop(a little blue acer aspire one) to be mistaken for a MacBook. In which case I will slap someone.

To their defense...it does start with the letter 'A'..expecting people to read any farther is a stretch...that said I find that really weird since by now most people know that PCs = Windows. I can see if its a slim laptop for it to be mistaken for a macbook air..but anything other then that would really be a stretching of reality.

aka the assumption that since they have not seen a laptop like that it must be a mac rather then association of mac with a laptop.

Just got back from visiting my family. One asked, "Is that an iphone?" I said, "No" and showed them my TP2. They then said, "Ooooh, it's an HTC, look he's got an HTC !!!".

The commercials must be working....hehe

One of my friends, a liberal iPhone-toting hippie from Maine(yes I know, but I've known her since we were kids) came down for christmas & thought my phone was an iPhone. Lol! She wanted me to friend her on facebook & I couldn't get the FB app to work. She starts telling me how to fix it, thinking it was an iPhone. It was funny.

I have a TP2 and an Ipod Touch so yeah people get them two confused a lot. Like seriously they look NOTHING a like what so ever. The last three phones ive had (Instinct, Touch Pro, & Touch Pro 2) and they got them ALL confused with my Ipod Touch. People are so technology illiterate.
