When I got the Sprint Diamond it just seemed so classy (and that was coming from returning an iPhone).

I love the magnetic stylus on the Diamond and how it turns it on.

I feel like I stepped back to an over sized mogul.

After the first boot I could not turn it off or on from power button.

Pulled battery and that seems ok now.

I have the screen protector on with PERFECT alignment but it keeps forming a bubble near the +/- button.

The finish just feels a tad cheaper.

It sure feels huge. Friend brought in his new iPhone today that feels so classy as did diamond one.

Scrolling around flicking through pages randomly clicks item. I had all the HTC software off on my diamond and expected I'd have to shut it all off on this as well. But they never seem to get it right.

I may try a Diamond 2 when they come out. I jumped on this because it was one of the few new phones on SERO.

But I really wanted to be as wowed as I was with the Diamond and I'm not so far.

I'll play with it for a bit. Maybe if iGuadance works correctly on this screen I'll change my mind.

I'm a little concerned Diamond will hold up for another year.

u sure you just didnt get another diamond?

I can relate to the Op. Upgrading to the Pro is also a downgrade IMO. If I jump **** to the Pro2, I will loose some key features that I loved on my Pro1. In which are magnetic stylus, LED flash and Capacitive Dpad. Those items imo were modern.

i never used stylus (only to soft reset lmao) so never cared about that, the led flash i do miss. But the dpad on tp has got to be the #1 worst Ive ever experienced in life, and i actually know how to use it, it was so hard to explain to somebody using my phone lol. you can keep that

Too bad Skyfire hasn't figured out how to have compatible screen XVGA resolution settings for these devices (hell, it is still not compatible with VGA)

I do use Skyfire, but only when absolutely NOTHING else will work (IE:I need full flash support). Skyfire just looks so awful on these devices that I absolutely hate using the POS.........

The Diamond is a pretty solid phone, my wife has one.

No worries. The stylus on the TP2 also turns it on!

Usually a good rule of thumb with any WM Smartphone is to turn it on, and then hard reset it immediately. THEN try to use it.

Yeah the screen protector out of the box is somewhat disappointing, there are plenty of better solutions out there.

Remember this resistive screen technology, it doesnt work quite as well as a capacitive screen. There are tweaks that help with pressure sensitivity and responsiveness, just search for it.

Which HTC software is giving you issues?

IMO the TP2 is a stop gap device, much like Windows ME. There are no great leaps in technology, and not much of an upgrade in terms of "guts".

Thats probably your reason for buyers remorse!

All that being said, having both a Diamond and a TP, the TP2 has been the best phone I have owned thus far. Sprint and HTC are getting better at optimizing WM for their handsets. It has required the least amount of tweaking from me, and the screen is beautiful. I say give it a second chance. Try a hard reset, maybe the TP2 tweaks cab and see how it holds up.

Skyfire is a pain. I could never get it to respond appropriately to my gestures or inputs on my TP. I really hate the lack of a good WM browser, because hauling three browsers around really sucks

I've always had diamond invy, just got a better deal on the TP1. Who uses a stylus, I forgot my TP2 had one.

I guess your one of those who loves stylus. I got this phone first day that it was launched and I only used stylus maybe 1 or 2 times.
