Yes, I believe it does. The VZW version is using some sort of additional program to handle SMS or something.

For the people that have tried the registry hack, have you restarted your phones and checked again? It may be one of those things that won't take effect until after restarting it.

Yes, the hack sticks, but it doesn't work.

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent

I've found numerous registry keys like "VZWSMSAssisted" and "VZWSMSAck" etc. throughout the registry, many set to "1", but when set to "0" none have effect. Maybe I'll start writing down the keys I've tried in case someone finds something I missed.

Everything was changed, then soft reset to test

HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings\VzwSmsDeliveryAck set to "1", change to "0", no effect.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\RIL\EnableVZWSMSAssisted set to "1", change to "0", no effect.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\SMS\DeliveryAck set to "1", change to "0", no effect.

I think that's all I can find for now... It sucks that the solution may be to ADD a key and that's pretty much a shot in the dark for me.

I had the same issue, the registry change didn't work.

However, I deleted the SMSNoSentMsg entry and made a new one with the same name and same entry as 1, rebooted and haven't got the message sent notification yet. I think you just need to overwrite it.

Doesn't seem to work for me... Did you re-enter it as a DWORD or STRING? Did you soft reset after deleting and before making a new one?

In fact, I know that didn't work because if I change the key to "0", I get TWO message sent notifications.

i deleted it and didnt put anything back. now i get like the standard sms sent message, but it goes away in like 1-2 seconds. not as annoying as the other 1 that stuck on the screen until you pressed a button and this one looks nicer.

You don't get both now?

It's bad enough that we can't get rid of the message sent pop-up but if the volume is on, it makes a sound too! There's gotta be a reg hack to get rid of this entirely.
