6700 user to Tp2, kinda want old basic interface
 

Hey guys, just got my Tp2 today.. been fooling with it. Going from a 6700 to this is amazing, the screen is almost a full inch larger and the device actually feels smaller! The touch screen responds great, but the default VZW installed OS feels like one of their dumb phones with the VZW GUI. I know the functionality of WM is there but im used to the old start menu with an uncluttered screen and going to file explorer to get what i want.

Maybe im just not appreciating all the new functionality of this, but it kinda feels like going from XP to Vista.

Anyone else feel like this?

If you don't like the TouchFlo interface, you can just unselect it in the Today Settings and it will revert to standard Today Home screen.

Just do this reg hack if you don't like the start menu:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ HTC\EnlargeMenu:EnableManilaStartMenu and set it to 0.

If you don't like TF3D you can disable that in the settings>today menu.

now, does anyone know a way to get the tmobile version to have programs menu instead of the old syle when ya hit the start button? i tried the reg edit above and put it to 1 from my 0 and it didnt do anything.... but im assuming it wont work opposite...

the two types of launches is the start button that brings down the 7 favorites and some recent programs with the programs and settings tab available, then there is the start button that brings up a program list of 30 favorites, you saying when ya hit start it does nothing???????

try tflo settings under setting system

after ya do the hack, soft reset to make sure it took effect

i did again and there is something like BASE do i have 2 change something there? as well? i just change value data for 0 as it says
