Double Opera Trouble......help

The story.....I accidentally installed an old version of opera over the stock one. Tried to remove it, and ended up removing opera all together :silent:

Finally found the correct opera 9.5 build 19683 or whatever and it works only with Wifi and not on Sprint connection:drunken: Every time I open Opera, the screen turns black and says "HTC loading..." and then it starts up.

Internet explorer works fine with both wifi and Sprint.

I tried installing Opera Mini 4.1 and 4.2 and neither will install no matter how I try. The progress bar gets stuck at about 20%.](*,)

I even installed the latest Jbed I could find, no help.
So after all this crap and installing all my programs, I will have to Hard Reset and start all over:(

Before I do that, anyone have any ideas?

Well, thanks all, I bit the bullet and hard reset.
Nothing like wasting 4 hours reinstalling everything.:silent:

You could have done a backup with something like Sprite Backup and then reinstalled everything Opera.................however, hard resets really do have a value - lets you do it again even better than it was before. Eventually you will be able to do it in your sleep.

You might want to look into a program such as Sprite Backup. I will be as soon as I figure out the core apps & core data (podcast/rss urls, email setup info, bookmarks, etc..) that I want.

You mentioned in one of your posts that you tried installing Opera Mini. This is Opera Mobile on our TP2's. You may have just misspoke there, but just thought I'd clarify.

Yeah since opera 9.5 would not work right, I tried to install mini, and that would not even install at all.
All is better after a hard reset :blackeye:
