Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
Is this the app that allows you to connect your phone to WiFi then teather it to a PC using USB for internet access on that PC?
Not to hijack your thread but Ive never used HTC WiFi Router and need something that will do what I described that will work on the TP2... |

Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
i used the same one as above but before installing it, i installed the stealth tether cab in the sticky tweaks thread. works great. only issue is that you have to go to connections tab in settings to run it. how can i add it to the start menu directly?

Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
I installed the stealth cab, then installed the htc wifi router. Afterwards I went to the manilla interface for the start menu and clicked the + and picked it out of the start menu.
The settings one I think is internal one, the program one is the one which first runs the configurations and then launches the settings one. Just to add: So far the connection has been fairly stable, I have had it on for 15 hours without 1 disconnect. |
Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
thanks for the reminder, forgot to setup tethering. so use the "stealth one?" there's no more simple tethering cab like we had for the tp?

Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
I believe this also requires Net 3.5 as well.

Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
i installed the stealth tethering cab and i still get the data call failure message (error 67 code) when i try to use ICS. any ideas?

Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
Is it set to use Sprint or Phone as Modem connection?
|
Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
i got it working, tho i dont know if it's because of the stealth cab or not... I put it on sprint connection. i have to establish a data connection first, which is kind of annoying cause i never had to do that with my other phones. Also, it switches itself to phone as modem after every soft reset. please let me know if you found a workaround for this or if you're able to tether without having to establish a data connection first (if i dont operan IE i end up getting the error code)

Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
Does this thing turn your TP2 into a Wifirouter? Free from HTC?

edit: nevermind, I just wasnt using wmwifirouter correctly. I wish I could integrate it into the comm manager like I did on my touch pro. I tried this using a cab I saw but it wouldn't let me install the cab, said permissions weren't right. Hmm.. Also still weird that when I try the regular ICS when I plug in my phone I get that error 67 for sprint vision username/password. weird. |
Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
Does HTC Touch Pro 2 include a free wifi router software?

No file on first page. But I got Treo Pro and I am using Wifirouter.
Talk later perhaps when I get it. :-) |

Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
i agree with otterit, use wmwifirouter_free_final_version. worked for me first shabang.
|
Re: Cannot install htc wifi router...
the error 67 code i believe is sprint trying to configure your vision services, which it should do automatically after like three tries of attempting the internet. if not (which i have had to do this before) is call those schmucks. they will do it over the network...
