touch pro 2 rom on touch pro possible

I just got a touch pro 2 and my wife wants my old touch pro. I was running a cooked rom "energy" but my wife just wants to use it for making calls and texting. I really like the simplicty of the new rom on the touch pro 2. Does anyone know if it is possible to flash the stock sprint touch pro 2 rom onto a touch pro?

Thanks
John

I'd suggest you go to Touch Pro section, do the HardSPL unlock and flash the down to the bare-bone ROM. I'm sure you'll find them.

Some of them are even faster than the stock ROM.

Oh and answer your question, you can't quite directly port a TP2 ROM into TP.

definately not, unless she wants to use the touch pro as a paper weight? lol
why not just flash a barebones manila 2.1 rom?

Why does she need the entire new rom? can;t you just use the TP2's TF3D interface?

you cannot use a touch pro (2) rom on a touch pro (1)

even if you do try it will not "brick" your phone. it will just give you an invalid model error. even if it manages to flash and not work, you can always flash another rom to repair it.

that being said, its impossible to have that luxury.

if you would like a simple rom for her. My MightyRom4 series is pretty simple, or give dcd's roms a try. very good choices.

cheerio!
