The only time I had trouble with the AudioRoute program was when I didn't use it consistently. For example, AudioRoute is running, but I'm making a regular phone call. I go to enable speakerphone on the dialer, then everything goes dead no mic, no sound, until I tell AudioRoute to go back to the earpiece.

The way around this is to always use AudioRoute if its running to switch to speakerphone.
