The cdma variant to these phones won't have the second camera.

All US versions lack the front-facing camera.

Two reasons come to mind, actually three:
  1. Cost
  2. CDMA can't do Data (video) and Calls at the same time
  3. People don't like front-facing cameras b/c it makes them look ugly

For months people thought the Mogul had been falsely advertised as having GPS, because some geeks took it apart and "proved" it wasn't capable of GPS. But then it turned out it was, and it was made to work.

Similarily, the US versions of the TP2 DO have a front facing camera, it is of the tiniest pinhole variety, and is disguised as a dead pixel in the screen. The hackers will get it working within 6 months.
