Doubts on VZW Tp2 11th release/availability
 

Hey guys, just got off the phone with telesales (or whoever *611 gets me to) lady was helpful put a lot of time into checking different sources, couldnt order me the phone or even confirm a release date. I know a few others have mentioned they have gotten confirmation of the 11th release date but im just having doubts. It seems weird their isnt any info and its the 10th!

Just having doubts, im still trying though. Might call again later today, definetly gonna call tomorrow and if some stores have it gonna call all the different stores in the area and see if i can grab one if they have it in store as i hear some stories of them not and some saying they will.


Heres hoping.


Although it seems the buildup is huge and once ihave the damn thing i'll set it up play with it a bit then start looking for the next big thing i can give my money to.

I talked to a Verizon CSR and she said I can order it for sure on Friday and will receive Monday.

So Sprint rates their TP2 4 hours of talk time and Version 5.3 hours? WTF???

I can't be sure of the exact reason, but when I looked the VZW press release, it specifies a MSM 7600A processor @ 528 Mhz, whereas the Sprint version has a plain MSM 7600 @ 528 Mhz.

As far as I know, the 'A' suffix indicates a smaller die-size, which translates to a more efficient processor.

This may or may not explain the 1.3 hour (32.5%) increase in talk time.

I have been looking, that post you quoted came from an article written yesterday and the threads following the release are very long i have been following and even posting in the threads but i cant read every single post in there. Some people say they've talked to a verizon rep that said the 11th, but a lot of others including myself talked to reps that had no idea of the phones existence even after looking into it. The reports on engadget and the one from the "ninja" werent exactly proof just reports. That article you posted proves it though but i didnt have that up to date information is all, ive been kinda burned out with checking thist stuff so often. You didnt have to be a jerk about updating me, why post a snide response like that for no reason?

AGAIN: i have been following but ive been burned out as of late following the posts. I came here and started this thread after just getting off the phone with a tech. Also im on the last 2 pages of the VZW Tp2 friday release date thread and its just back and forth on getting overnight shipping and uninformed techs, that link is probably a few pages back and i happened to miss it.
