Battery Icon - Notification Area

The battery icon vanished on my notification bar. Is there a way to turn it back on?

I've got the exact same problem. Click on the battery or signal icon and a screen comes up that says I have no notifications.
I'm using Mobile Shell 3 and that has a better battery icon anyway, so I'm good.

I found the problem. I turned on the clock at the top of the screen and it removed the battery icon. WEIRD!

Mobile Shell 3 instead of Touch Flo 3?

ABSOLUTELY !!!!

Let me clarify. Mobile Shell 3 is, in my humble opinion, far superior to TF3D. It is very customizable, and allows you to put the program icons right on the screen, along with contact icons.

AND it has a better battery indicator.

Better battery indicator? Can you tell me where that is located? I am going to download it tonight and see how it works.

MS3 has several pages of details. One of them is what they call the "Lifestyle Layout". THis is the layout that is 100% customizable. One of the "Widgets" you can add is the battery monitor, as well as the usual indicators for calendar, time, voice mail etc. You can also change the background. They offer some canned ones, but you can add any picture you want.
I hope this helps.

Hmm--I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing then. I have a battery icon at the top of the screen. On my Diamond, if I clicked on any of the icons on the top of the page, it opened up another page with larger icons for the battery, memory,EVDO, etc. Clicking on any of these icons brought up details. As an example, I would get the battery page with the green indicator showing how much the battery is charged,

Now, when I click on the battery icon at the start of the page, I'm brought to a second page as before. Instead of larger icons for the battery etc, this new page says that there are no notifications.

Notification LED

Guys,

A question that 'fits' this thread. My Notification LED when plugged in does not flash to notify me of an event it only shows that the battery is charging/full. On my Mogul the action would override the charging action and I liked that programming better.

Is there a way to have the phone flash for a action item even when charging????

When I click the title (top) bar of my HTC TP2 it brings me to a Notification screen. I *cannot* click directly on the icons at the top.

When I turn on the "Clock" option, to show it at the top of each application, the battery indicator disappears. :(

Re: Battery Icon - Notification Area

On my Mogul, which will go into backup mode soon, as my TP@ is coming, I use a program called VistaHide Battery Gauge. It displays a very thin line accross the top of the screen, from red on the left, to green on the far right. It disappears from the right (the green) toward the red on the left as the battery goes down. It drops in 10% increments, which is good enough for me, and I can tell after the first few days of using it (started 2 years ago) exactly how many percent is left.

Does that program work on the TP1 or 2? With TF3D? With Mobile Shell 3?

Yes, that's what I meant to describe. You did it better.
Nevertheless, it seems odd.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, MS3 makes the phone REALLY finger friendly. There's very little need to pull out the stylus.

1 Attachment(s)
I installed Batti 2.4 (I've attached the cab) on my new TP2. It works great and the price is right (free!)

Go to settings, all settings, clock & alarms & uncheck the display the clock on title bar in all programs option....the battery icon then appears again....

ms_imajin -> known issue. :( i cant find a workaround to have both the battery and clock on the screen at the same time. frustrating.

Re: Battery Icon - Notification Area

On the TP1 when you checked the box to show the clock in all programs, it would replace the battery meeter *except* when you were on the home screen (since the TF3D clock made it redundant) You would then see the battery meeter. Any ideas on how to get this back?

Are you using TF3D? I installed Batti and no matter what settings I use the main Batti display is nearly completely covered by the TF3D Start/ notification bar. Only a tiny sliver of Batti shows at the top. How do you get the Batti display to fully display on the TF3D home screen?

Re: Battery Icon - Notification Area

If there's an alternative to BatteryGuage or a much newer version of it that TheBundo recommended, go for it, but the latest version I could track down causes MAJOR performance issues on the TP2. I have no idea why other than perhaps it's angry about the new screen resolution.

I don't like this. On my TP1, when I enabled the "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs", it would show in everything, but the home screen.

I like it that way because I like seeing the battery or charging icon when in the home screen. I already have the large flip clock in the home screen so I don't need it in the title bar.

Is there any way to revert the TP2 to make it act like the TP1 in this sense?

I installed 1 of tsowens taskbars when I click on any of the icons in the taskbar (the top) it brings me to a Notification screen as well!! I turned the "Clock" option on to show it at the top of each app it shows it in all apps and when I go back to my home screen the "Clock" goes away and the battery is back in its place!! My question is what is it suppose to do when you click on any of the icons in the top taskbar on your home screen?

I hate this issue also, I use the stock windows UI (no TF3D) an hate not haveing that icon up top. THanks for the ppl who posted saying that if I turn off the clock the icon will show back up, witch I did an it did. But I like haveing my clock on the tast bar. I downloaded that batt2.4 cab an will give it a try to see what it does. I really hope we find some type of work around for this.

I have the same problem. When I click the battery icon at the top, it takes me to the notification area.

Any real fix yet?
Thanks
