does sprint charge you for internet sharing and if so is there a workaround so i won't get charged?

i use a program called pdanet and it works great. way better than that internet sharing cr*p that came with the phone. pdanet lets you use your phone still while being on the net. look into it!

I use HTC wifi router and it works great.

hklm/comm/internetsharing/settings and delete the forececellconnection line and voila, go back to the ICS program and these options should be there now, select either sprint or data, hit connect and bammmm.

I'm beginning to see the advantages of tethering... :)
Esp. with a small netbook & a USB connected broadband...no more standing in line @ the counter @ airports waiting to make changes.

So how do you tether than? I don't need the stealth cab or a wifi router cab or anything installed on my laptop? It's all new to me and I want to try it but I don't want to have to edit my registry.. All I want to know id what 1 thing do I need on my phone stealth cab a wifi router or both? I have 2 cabs on my phone stealth cab and a wifi router cab. I just don't know which one to install or if I do both and what do I install on my laptop. I want to surf my laptop wirelessly from my phone.. I don't want anything hooked up USB.. I know it's in here at the beginning but I am still confused and am afraid of messing something up. Thanks, Rose

Edit: I think I figured it out. Installed wifi router and turned it on and saw the wireless connection on my laptop.. Cool!

Answer is here, http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=114849&page=2 Needed to add the Flag reg. edit which apparrently stops the CM from changing back to phone as modem whenever you do a soft reset.
