Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

I just noticed on my TP2 it had 4 dead pixels that stay white. They were REALLY hard to see! I would encourage everyone to take a very close look at your screen to check for dead pixels. I am on the phone with VZW right now and hopefully they will send me a new one and not a refurbished one.

That is really the only problem that I have had so far. Just found out they are sending me a brand new one. I have my fingers crossed this one doesnt have dead pixels. That is the first thing I am going to check this time.

Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

I haven't seen many complaints on slider grinding in here. I was wondering if this is normal function of "grinding". When I go to slide my phone closed, about 3mm into the slide there is a slight grind... almost sort of like the rails are sliding into place. This is hardly noticeable and certainly not an issue now but im concerned that if it is grinding then it will only get worse. Other than that my unit is perfect. No dead pixes or other screen issues to speak of. I love this phone!

Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

Has anyone else had an issue with receiving multiple text messages and having to click the sender name multiple times to clear the read notification? Say if three texts came in from someone before clicking you would have to exit out and click two more times. Its driving me nuts.

Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

Well, I came here to post about my keyboard, and ended up testing for dead pixels too.

Keyboard: "B" key isn't sensitive enough. Requires a firm push, while other keys are fine.
Dead Pixels: About 5-6.

This will get rid of the SMS sent for verizon. I take no credit for this. I found it on another thread and this one ACTUALLY worked!!!

If you call them about dead pixels they will send you a brand new one. I just hope my new one doesnt have dead pixels too. Seems to be a common problem. They are really hard to see and I had to look REALLY close to find them. I bought my phone outright so there is no way I am gonna settle for a TP2 with dead pixels.

I havent seen a problem with my keyboard yet. All my keys seem to be VERY sensitive. I noticed there is thin plastic on each side of the keyboard for sliding. I have NOT removed this yet and probably wont. I am not sure if it is supposed to stay on there to help the keyboard slide so it wont rub.

Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

Guys, my LED seems to flash/blink only when it feels like it....which is usually after a missed call or a new message.

Isnt the LED supposed to flash green all the time? Mines only seems to flash when I get new messages. Anyone else experiencing this?

It's not supposed to flash all of the time ... only the times you specify in Sounds/Notifications and solid when it charges.
