Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

I got mine from T-Mobile on the 28th no defects that I can find except it doesn't always play nice with GM Bluetooth.

Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

Both hubby and I got our Sprint TP2s yesterday and have the same annoying issue. The link on the weather tab gives an error message instead of going to the accuweather site. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? Please keep in mind I'm a sorta n00b.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Dead Pixels!

So received my second TP2 today and it had a worse dead pixel then the first on I received. It really stood out. I was going to settle for the first one as it is not really that bad but after being on the phone with Sprint and a worthless sales rep, there will be another one coming to me. She was fighting with me that I need to send back the first one and keep the second one even though I was telling her it was worse! So in the end and after speaking to a supervisor who understood, I was keeping my first one, she said the order for the third one has already been placed and it will be coming. I explained to her that if it is worse then my first one, I will be returning the second and third one. She said no problem....

If the first lady didn't fight with me I would have just returned the second one and been done with it. So fustrating dealing with these people!

Well, hopefully three is a charm and it will be right!

I have that problem..
Also.. Im annoyed (not @ the tp2) but the SPB software doesn't play nice on the TP2. I like the SPB phone suite, to turn off notifications at night.. but it doesn't work right, there is also the Bluetooth issue, where the profiles (spb phone suite) doesn't recognize the BT as it has a new stack..
also (again SPB) Mobile Shell doesn't play nice with TF3D (neither does Phone suite)
I know this is kinda off topic, but thought everyone who uses SPB products, should know THEY DON'T work as expected with this device (yet)

Also untill hacking it, the teathering doesnt work with the "everything" plan, it will onnect to the laptop via PAN, but i cant get on the internet from the laptop.. i used to use teathering all the time on my Mougal..

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Dead Pixels!

I'll be receiving mine tomorrow and if it just has the dust looking dead pixels, I might just settle until they become more available in stores. The whole return over mail thing is a pain and the threat that they will keep the $450 some charge on my account if they do not receive it back is a bit too threatening to do multiple times.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Dead Pixels!

Hmmmmm.......Seems like the dead pixel will be the main complaint in this ne ppc. I considered the iverheating issue the main flaw for the pro1

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Dead Pixels!

After researching this further, it appears we may be using the wrong terminology. A dead pixel is actually a black spot on the screen whereas a stuck pixel is a white spot or some other color. Check out the article below for further details and some tips on how to possibly fix it:

http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-P...an-LCD-Monitor

It might be good to put the screen protector on and try the techniques he's suggesting.

Edit: And here's a link to a software solution via a Java Midlet: http://www.jscreenfix.com/

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Dead Pixels!

Curious though, when returning the phone, do I have to switch the SIM cards or should I just keep everything in their respective boxes? Never had a phone that needed one before.

Thanks.

This doesn't seem to work on my device. It won't load or download that. Were you able to get it to load?
