I have no dead pixels, no odd color, my keyboard has no scratches- BTW those plastice sticker were meant to be removed much like the new plastic strip covering a new printer, Screen tilt is rock solid, battery door is absolutely flush- no bulge, and thank goodness no clicking sound (yet..lol). The phone looks so much better than what I imagined and is simply to me the best on the market right now.

Ditto, trouble free, solid Sprint phone here

Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

Well I don't use my phone to hunt ducks or apply lipstick, but like my LCD TV (which coincidentally cost only slightly more than my TP2 and has no dead pixels) and my laptop, I do use it for entertaining and to display information. So dead and/or stuck pixels are a big deal to me.

Hah great strategy, didnt think about that.

Results: Even more dead pixels!
They are pretty small, but you can definitely find them if you are looking
Total is more than 10 and the funny thing is while I was counting, I feel like at least 1 or 2 popped up.

Reps said they'll send me a new phone by Monday at the latest.

They must really have beat up my phone or something during manufacturing : (

p.s.
Just tried this on my phone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liMySLZkF5o (DO NOT CLICK LINK IF YOU ARE PRONE TO SEIZURES)

and it looks very crisp on the tp2 screen, but no effect on the pixels

It totally ruined the holiday season that year because they stole all my gifting money - so now I'm scared that it could happen again...
id have free service for a few months if that happened to me lol
1000 bucks, most they can charge is 425 for anything... and its not even possible to put those charges together.. they can charge upto 300 for no return of device... and upto 125 if they determine theres no defect.. so both charges cant really occour at once...

sorry that happened man, ive been overcharged before, nothing like that though... and it does take forever for them to get your billing right afterwards..

Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

I have no physical defects yet, though I thought I did. All of mine are software related. My problem: learning to use it. I use Blueteeth extensively and NEVER, really never, answer it directly. I found out this morning how to answer the phone from the screen (slide). Had it since the 4th. Also had a problem with call announcement being done 3 times before stopping and found the setting on that. I use Excel extensively and it took a bit to learn to work around the software keyboard. Searching phone numbers - on the TP1 I had a system that worked perfectly and wow, not on this thing, so I had to learn how to do it properly. Otherwise this is a fantastic device.

Probably like him and many others, I expect a $599.99 (unsubsidized) PDA phone to have useful drivers and a better build quality. After all, it's not as if HTC is new to this, they've had several chances to get it right. And yet, they haven't. Yes, they keep making very incremental steps in the right direction, but glaring flaws such as the driver issue and build quality issues remain.
yeah sorry exil3d, it is good for people to know the pros and cons of buying a tp2, everybody has their own opinions on how they think htc phones should be like.

Add buzzing earpiece speaker to the list. My sprint TP2 has this issue. I started a thread about it and was informed by some telus users that they had seen it also. Going to get a replacement once the phones show up in sprint stores.

I haven't noticed this problem yet, hopefully mine doesn't start.
