Sprint TP2 and Trapster
 

Has anyone tried to get trapster to work on the TP2 from sprint? Mine is on order, but I'd love to know if it works in advance.

If you don't know what trapster is, it's a speed trap/camera app. www.trapster.com

So is there a beta app that you install or are you just using the text messaging version? Their website states support for WM & Pre is coming soon.

that's excellent news!!

@8notime,

there is also a java/j2me version (same as the nokia version) that should work with WM 6.1 if the phone meets their requirements. That is the only version that I think would work with the TP2 at this time (except the text message option).

I got my phone today, but can't get past the login screen for trapster. perhaps boredandtattooed can shed some light on how he did it.

Any new updates on this anyone? I just found out about this app on the news today? I know they have added it to the Pre but is there a ppc version or Win MO cab out there?

Beta testing the new win mo app which has hit rc phase and can tell you it works perfectly with tp2 sprint and fills the entire wvga screen with radar and everything nicely. You all will be very pleased.

Just got word from a spokesperson at Trapster.com who told me that the HTC Pro 2 version of Trapster (for windows mobile 6.1 & 6.5 touchscreen only and touchscreen with stylus) "should be out next week on Windows Marketplace, pending approval of MS."

It appears to be working well too, although I haven't gone for a drive yet.

How do you turn off the big red target circle that keeps moving all over the screen? There's no way that I want to drive with that thing hypnotizing me.

The circle changes depending on your speed. Once you start moving it creates more of a cone like shape in the direction you are traveling and your speed.

yeah, but it's still annoying and I'd like to turn it off. I stopped at a light today when it caught my attention and sure enough, somebody behind me had to honk to get me to go.

I use Trapster on my HTC Touch Pro and HTC Touch Pro 2! It works fine for me. On the HTC Touch Pro 2, the icons are separated in the program menu. It has saved me from getting some speeding tickets and it had also alerted me of police checkpoints in my area.=D>

I just downloaded the one from trapster.com. Its pretty cool and works no problem. Everyone get onboard = no more tickets!
