Why the F does IE keep closing?!?!?!
 

Why the heck does IE keep closing by it's self after a few minutes?!

Any ideas how to prevent this?!

Could be a website running a bad script on you, crashing PIE

Try disabling this:
Menu -> Tools -> Options -> Privacy/Security -> Enable Scripts

It doesn't matter what page I minimize it on, when I come back a few minutes later IE is closed.

Weird, I *****ed about that with the Sprint Treo Pro (first device to launch with IE6).

My bet: it's a memory thing. It has a low threshold for consumption and will close out automatically. Nothing you can do about it, except maybe the trick to "roll back" IE6 to PIE. Not sure if that works on the TP2 as it does the STP.

Mine does the same thing. It seems to time out after a bit. I was *thinking* it had something to do with the Today timeout setting or something. But it doesn't close after a few minutes for me, maybe an hour or more (which blows the whole today timeout out of the water).

Have you tried Opera? I will try that next myself...

I noticed that some custom ROMs on the Touch Pro did it too and some did not. I was never able to figure it out but with this new TP2, it's way too often.

Call me set in my ways but I just don't care of Opera...

I'm with you on the Opera thing. My IE has closed itself, it was on Facebook. 30 mins up time for it, or at least I had noticed it just now.

Yeah, I've had some games open and they close on their own too. Actually, everything seems to close on their own after a while.
