Let's see pictures from the TP2's camera. Is it any better than the TP's camera even at the same resolution? List what settings your camera is so that other people may seek to improve their pictures :)

This was taken with:
ISO: auto
1M resolution
Quality: Super Fine
All other settings auto/default

I was just about to start a thread like this, as far as stills the tp1 and tp2 in my opinion are basically the same as far as quality with the exception of the tp2 being widescreen. But to me the biggest difference is in the video capture quality. The tp1 was basically a slide show but the tp2 actually does a pretty decent job recording video and audio.

Nice! I haven't gotten around to taking videos yet, BUT I did notice ISO settings in the TP2. I don't remember if the TP1 had that or not. Does it?

This is not an attack on you personally Freeza, but I think that picture looks terrible! I realize this is just a camera phone though, so I guess my expectations shouldn't be too high. Can you take the same one with 3.2 MP? I'm curious how much better it looks.

P.S. - I'm totally jealous of your weather.

Actually, it doesn't have ISO settings.

haha no offense taken, I was just thinking the same thing. I'm not sure if it's because I changed it from 3M to 1M or changed the quality from fine to super fine but i'll try it with default settings all the way and see what happens.

I have always said that exact same thing lol

Someday I want to try this hack I read about on Engadget:

http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/25/d...ayer-zero-tec/

Also, I wonder if you took the battery cover off if the picture would turn out better?

Just took this picture of my neighbors backyard.

edit: I guess it looks kind of blurry, I thought my hand was steady. I guess I could mess around with the settings a little and see if it will make a difference.

I would have swore I read it had ISO settings somewhere. In any event, the picture quality is far more limited by the little lens than the number of megapixels. I have a 10 year old Kodak DC260 with 1 megapixel, but a real lens of considerable size, which takes far better photos than a camera phone likely ever will.

The TP2 does have ISO settings :)

I was trying to remember if the TP1 had it, but it didn't.

Sure does on the Telus Touch Pro 2...100, 200, 400, and 800 and of course Auto. I also uninstalled "Extra Camera Modes Cab" just to make sure...dont know about other carriers tho.:)

Much better macro shots, that's for sure!

I'll stick to using my Canon Rebel camera for quality work though, lol.

I find the TP2 picture is more grainy and not so good indoors.

Two from Citizen's Bank Park last week... Go Phils!

Was pretty pleased with the panorama, except for the screwy third base line.

Here are a couple I took, without changing any settings, although now that I have looked through the settings, I think I could have gotten some better results.

First is a rabbit shot -- the coloring could be better, but overall it looks much better on the phone itself than when it's exported.

The 2nd shot is just messing around with panorama -- nothing terribly special.
