Well, it's about that time for another thread on app compatibility with our WVGA devices. So far i've tested a few of them with success and not so much.....i'll break it down from compatible, to partially usable, then finally not compatible.

Compatible:
Barcorama (barcode scanner)

Bejeweled 2 (vga graphics, doesn't fill entire screen)
Kevtris (visuals are fine, but unless you use the keyboard to assign buttons, you can't play.
Block Breaker Deluxe 2 (vga graphics,, doesn't fill entire screen)
Tweaks2k2.NET (vga graphics, doesn't fill entire screen)

Not compatible:
stevedusa reported that no2chem's 1% increment battery driver is not working correctly with the Touch Pro2 and requires a hard reset.

If I buy SPB Mobile shell and install it on my TP1 now, will I be able to use it on my TP2? I wasn't sure it they registered it to the specific phone like PC OS's or not.

It will work. I don't think SPB product registration is even tied to the owner name!

total commander, phm regedit, kinoma freeplay, pocket twitter all work. Can someone test kfortouchpro (keyboard fix for emulators keyboard mapping)?

I haven't tried kForTouchPro (I think I remember reading somewhere that it doesn't work for the TP2) but I can attest that kForRaphael works.

I cant get tcpmp to work on my phone, it just locks up when I try to play a video.

The only problem im having is with IM+ for some odd reason i have to soft reset my phone after being logged in for a few hrs. dont know whats up with that

I was told by Mitch at DVD Catalyst, that the player in TP2 makes better use of the h264 acceleration that is build-in to the device, and may give slightly better battery life (than a 3rd party app. Coreplayer, etc)

In addition, (you may already know this) If you google for TCPMP HTC Build, you can find a special build of TCPMP for new HTC devices that includes all the formats that CorePlayer can handle, and does not cost anything.

PocketTwit (v76 and earlier) really dislikes screen rotations. Open it up in portrait mode, then slide the keyboard in/out a couple times and you will no longer have access to the bottom 2/3 of the screen. Tested on 3 different Telus TP2 units.

So no2chem's 1% colorful battery bar at the top of the screen doesn't work and screws up th phone to the point it requires the user to hard reset the phone!? Ouch, I really like that app.

Thanks, but I thought that was the version I was using. I guess I need to look a little harder. I will try to look for it when I get off from work or if you dont mind posting the cab for me.

I had iguidance on my diamond and I am curious if it works for the tp2 also. Iguidance is one of the best navigation softeare on windows mobile

Documents To Go has emotional difficulty - the screen gets whacked real bad at times. With the keyboard extended not a problem though.
