You know I'm not trying to put a damper on this thread but I did want to point out that EVERY YEAR we have the same conversation about Verizon and MODELX and when it is going to come out...

There are four types of people who post in it...

#1 - The poster who has a friend who works at Verizon and has the double secret skinny on when MODELX is going to come out...

#2 - the Poster who doesn't believe poster #1 and doesn't believe verizon will EVER release that phone simply because people want it (as if Verizon is in the business of only providing phones people don't want)

#3 - The poster who laments about how gimped it will be but will buy it anyway because the reason you pick a provider is based on how good the signal is not really what phones they sell since they ALL at some point sell the same phones!

#4 - The poster who tells poster 3 to switch to sprint despite the fact their coverage sucks unless you live in a major metropolitan area!

For anyone who identifies with any of the abvove and takes offense please don't it's all meant to be humorous!

But we could all save ourselves a lot of time if we simply stickied this thread and every August when sprint announces it's new phones...we VZW folks could just edit last year's post with a search and replace on the MODELX that year! LOL

I can't get too much info that we don't allready know from information allready available. I did not see a 3.5mm jack, but i admittedly forgot to look (I was drooling for a few seconds and forgot myself). Back looks mostly like the Telus one with some odd global design on the back. The device information pretty much shows what we allready know. 512mb flash, 256mb ram, 528mhz were the only things I looked at to confirm. I might get a chance to hold it again, I'll let you know of anything important.

I didn't say there wasn't one, just that I didn't see it because I forgot to look (never used a headphone jack on my phone because I use a Zune so it wasn't as important to me). I will try to confirm. I am SURE about the RAM. I saw it with my own eyes and unless "Device Information" lies, it was 256mb ram / 512mb flash(storage).

no no i understand about the not seeing the 35.mm jack you were too exctied to look. im the same way i use my mp3 player and rarley use my phone

so if it has 256ram can we assume it has the full 288? as the spec sheet says?
