What the heck is up with AT&T changing the keyboard?

Unforntunately, AT&T is taking over the Alltel market where I live and I was looking forward to the TP2, but I want my numbers up on the top row like all the other TP2's are.

Hopefully... Alltel sneaks out the TP2 before AT&T takes over.

keep on hoping cuz its never gonna happen. vzw is releaseing the tp2 and alltel is almost completly taken over of what vzw took over. i went to the alltel store in eau claire last week and now its completly vzw inside

They made all those custom changes and still managed to leave out a CTRL key. I really don't understand who at the carrier is responsible for making design changes that override what HTC originally designed, but that group of people should be fired.

You are most likely right, but my Alltel is becoming AT&T instead of Verizon.

I might just snag a TP1 for $99 or Diamond for $79 bucks w/ 1yr contract renewal and see where it goes from there....kind of want a TP2 though.

cant you just go back and jump on the vzw bandwagon? wait till your alltel expires and then go to vzw? or is there absolutly no coverage for vzw now that att took over those towers? thats what i was willing to do if att took over the towers in my area and thats what im wondering.

just buy the sprint phone, and then use a sim card to switch the phone on any carrier u want!

I despise VZW, but I may not have a choice but to do exactly what you suggest.
