I am using HTC WifiRouter right now due to my internet being out with the storm going on here. Its been on for about 2 hours steady right now and is just as cool as normal. No issues whatsoever. Again, that is HTC wifi router and not WM wifi router. I didnt see you specify just making sure you knew. Good luck

I had it going for 2 hours at borders the other day (their wifi was down) until my battery completely died. At most, it got a little warm, but not in any way as hot as my TP1 did. So no problems there :)

What is HTC Wifi Router?

I'm sorry. I'm actually a noob at this -- I'm trying to figure out how to use my HTC Touch Pro 2 as a internet connection to my netbook without local wifi and such?

I installed wmwifi router and let it run continuous for 5 hours on my TP2. No problems. I slingbox'd the Mayweather fight on a projection screen at the beach. It was pretty cool.

So you got 5 hours worth of use before the battery died? Or did you have it plugged in to a power source?

Thats a good question becuase in the HTC Pro Sprint I used this app and I got charged. Then I installed another rom that said it was safe and no charges. So im going to give it a try again but only for a minute and wait to see my bill.

The heat issue is definitely a thing of the pass. I just took a road trip to washington DC last wednesday and got back early this morning and let me tell you no heat issues at all. I probably used wmwifirouter for 3 hours at a time a few times each day and it was barely warm to the touch, I also used gps constantly hours on end, while the phone was on the charger, while multitasking(send/receive numerous emails, countless texts, hours worth of phone calls) again while the phone was on the charger. My tp1 would have definitely would have suffered some sort of nuclear melt down without a doubt.

I used WMWIfirouter all last weekend in a hotel where the a-holes wanted $10 a night extra for internet.

It worked great with my LT tethered & never heated up at all really.

That's great. And you were plugged in while on the router?
