Question Screen protection

Hey folks,

Anxiously awaiting the Sprint TP2 release . Just wondering what the screen is made of or how durable / hard / scratch resistant it is.

TIA,

F

Re: Screen protection

It's a standard resistive screen.

Read: IT sucks for scratches

Get a screen protector, stat! Well, I guess there's no impending rush. But get one, most certainly. Clarivue is a full recommend from me.

But use SOMETHING, anything. Unless you want to have to use the keyboard only

Re: Screen protection

When I got the TP, it came with a free screen protector. I don't see the reason why the TP2 wouldn't come with one

Re: Screen protection

Because it is a fingerprint magnet, I find it was scratching really quickly, and it didn't provide the same smooth flow that the Clarivue protector does.

The Clarivue protector is like running right on the screen, it is a dream

Re: Screen protection

I agree about the fingerprints!! It's so gross..... I am constantly wiping the screen on my pants, it looks like I ate a greasy burger while playing with my phone

Haven't had any issues with scratches on the stock screen protector, but it is definitely a fingerprint magnet...but no more than the screen-alone is. Also, I ran the TP2 without the protector for a day or two (until I realized it actually came with one ) and didn't find a huge difference with or without it to be honest.

Thanks for the info on the Clarivue. Have you / will you be trying the TP2 one they have listed at the moment? With the release of the different carrier TP2's right now, they are not all alike. How do you know you're getting one that will fit correctly?

Re: Screen protection

I guess I lucked out. I ordered straight away and the protector I got worked out of the box. The size was SLIGHTLY out, but no more than a literal dash. You can't tell.

I honestly didn't even think when I ordered, but they do, without a doubt, fit the CDMA version.

I like to think it's because the distribution is in Canada, but since everything is produced overseas, I got really, really lucky

Fact of the matter, the Clarivue TP2 screen protectors categorically work with the CDMA version, they match the stock in shape/form, but are better IMO!

And they still attract fingerprints, but it's so much easier to just wipe them off with the Clarivue versus the stock.

Re: Screen protection

The mogul has a recessed screen so the screen shield never got caught on anything. With the TP2, won't the shield catch on my pocket and get peeled back?
