VZW TP2 Pics

I just called for the heck of it too. I told the girl at telesales that I had a friend who works for Verizon, and had given me the UPC to order today. She tried to enter it into the order screen, and it gave her an error.

She said she put me on her "calendar" and will call me back as soon as it's available to order, but I bet I order it before she ever calls.

Thought I would give it a shot, but oh well.

I have called multiple times and no luck, I keep hearing the 11th. Oh well, 3 more days.....

I tried to call as well, and got to the nicest Sales rep. He was really cool and helpful, scanned all the details for me, and then confirmed that they'll have it in stores Friday, but that it will most likely be about $100 more expensive. He confirmed the online and phone sales prices should be about the same, but that they'll charge more in the store. If nothing else we can place our online/phone orders Friday, and then go play with the demo model. That should satisfy my craving until Monday if it means saving an extra $100.

Yeah, that about sums it up. Although to be perfectly honest it feels like we've been waiting almost a year. The TP2 is what they should have released in the first place. Comparatively speaking, the TP now feels like such a rush job (not to mention ugly as sin compared to the TP2)

I wonder what the price difference will be buying online vs. in store if there is. I might be just worth going to the store and getting it. I am so anxious, that I would foolishly pay extra for it.

Where did you get the SKU? I'm going to try our corporate sales number today.

My local government sales rep will be calling me around noon today (California time) and I will ask about ordering it then. Maybe the state university connection will be an advantage. I'll let you know.

I agree, I know what you mean. I think the build quality on the TP is just terrible and it screams garbage to me. The 6800/titan had way better build quality IMO. I'm ready to retire the rectangle phone.
