If it coming out the 27th we will know soon.

With the 27th being 10 days away I am very surprised we have not heard anything at all yet.

Either verizon is keeping the super secret so sprint doesn't move up their release one week or it isn't coming till mid September.

p3terpan, i called verizon and they said that sometimes the release date isnt announced til a day before. maybe they dont want the tour fiasco to occur again

Well as someone said, by the end of the week if the tp2 is being released on the 27th of aug; the warehouses will have to get stock of it.

So lets just hope someone can confirm that it get to the warehouse.

you would think that with the release of T-Mobile's TP2 almost a week ago, both Sprint and VZW would be advertising the release of their own TP2

very true, except for the fact T-mobile wasn't thrown into the mix with Sprint and Verizon with the BB Tour release.

my point is that even IF verizon sells the TP2 on the 27th, T-mobile will already have 2 weeks worth of selling an almost identical phone. The only benefit to someone waiting for the verizon/sprint release of the phone is the 3.5mm jack, and a different color combinations.

if i were T-mobile i would be advertising the hell out of this phone to try and get people to switch, and if i was verizon/sprint i would be trying to push the release to "keep up" with T-mobile.

But this all could be wishful thinking as I'm getting extremely anxious to get rid of my Titan for a MUCH better phone.

Sprint and VZW have never advertised an HTC device. Sprint did a tiny bit of online advertising (pre-launch website, etc) for the Mogul, but nothing else.

Verizon doesn't really care about T-Mobile. In general, better phones and WAY better coverage. Like ckeegan said, they have never done advertising and quite possibly they never will. These phones are for geeks like us. Photo/spec leaks basically do that advertising for them, as we hunt and drool for that stuff anyway.
