Re-provision Sprint TV Without Hard Reset?
 

Any ideas on how to re-provision Sprint TV on an HTC Touch Pro 2 without a hard reset? I like to move back and forth sometimes between an HTC Touch and an HTC Touch Pro 2.

I can move to the HTC Touch without resetting without a problem. I use NFSFAN and installed dcdSprintCarrier20090109.cab. After reactivation I do Settings, Personal, Phone, Services, Internet, Get Settings, Start
(runs iota) and then run SprintTV_QVGA_PPC_1.7.1.85322_release.cab which reinstalls Sprint TV. I then have data and Sprint TV back and fully functioning.

On the HTC Touch Pro 2 I run Sprint Lover's ROM though the same behavior occurs using stock ROM. After reactivation it re-provisions automatically and I get data back but Sprint TV says Error 3002: Deactivated user account. I've tried installing a cab I have for Sprint TV on the HTC Touch Pro 2 but the Error 3002: Deactivated used account persists until a hard reset after which everything including Sprint TV works fine.

The question is, is there a way to re-provision Sprint TV on the HTC Touch Pro 2 without having to do a hard reset?

Maybe try updating your profile under settings?

Still get Error 3002: Deactivated user account. I think the key is to uninstall and then reinstall Sprint TV since the Touch has the same error until that is done.

On the Touch Pro 2 the Sprint TV cab I have simply installs a 2nd version of Sprint TV and does not uninstall the first version that is included in the ROM (SPRINT_LOVERS_65X_07_23_10.exe).

I was able to resolve this. Steps on the Touch Pro 2 were:

Activate and then provisioning will happen automatically within a few minutes (The network is preparing your service ...)

Install 2009_5_SprintTVVGACab_1.6.4.74603_11_19_2008.cab

Install Sprint TV_1_7_189014_0.cab

Ensure Sprint TV is fully closed prior to each install. After the 2nd install it runs fine.
