data connection settings for GSM usage (in UK on verizon)
so i finally got my phone itself to work.
I flashed Energy's ROM and had to do the Carrier Provisioning for Verizon... then the GSM/Global options showed up for Network and only GSM network that works is Vodafone UK's network which i guess Verizon was saying they are partnered with... I saw it must have auto-added an entry for the Data connection in my settings i have to 2 options and have it set to AutoPick to try to pick the correct one, but none work. Tried both manually as well and no luck... 1st one is Verizon Wireless set to #777 and username: myphonenumber(10 digits without the 1)@vzw3g.com and password vzw which their support gave me... this didn't work... the other one is Vodafone UK, it has an access point set up for: live.vodafone.com and username: vodafone and password: vodafone ... but this doesn't work either... anyone know how to get this to work in britain/verizon? |

I was under the impression that all you needed to do was put your device in GSM only mode and insert a pre-paid SIM card for the GSM carrier there and you should be good to go there. You may need to call Verizon for an unlock code to unlock your SIM slot if you haven't already. |
