End button stuck!

The End key is stuck on my TP2. Like, it's stuck down, doesn't spring back or move at all. It still *sort of* works to end calls but it's pretty non-responsive and annoying. Has anyone had this problem and found a way to fix it? I've tried sticking a knife in there but it's too snug and I'm afraid of breaking the button.

Re: End button stuck!

There is a bit of steel under the button that works like a spring. This 'spring' can be compromised from dropping the device, or from pushing the button with excessive force. You have three choices at this point, you can live with the issue, remap the key, or have the device repaired or replaced. Sorry!

Re: End button stuck!

that sux... the button itself migh be an issue..

I cant see how to fix that withought taking the phone apart..

Ive taken a few touch pro 2s apart and the bottons on the front pannle have 3 scrwes, one under the talk, one under the end, and one between the start and back key.

What MIGHT have happened is that the prong under the button that is sapouse to bring the button back up might have been broken..

either that or the soft pad under it might be sunk in.

One or the other would have to be replaced

I sudgest taking it up to the repair center near you and see if they can do anything about it.

if you do it yourself you risk alot of damage to it if you dont know what you are doing

Re: End button stuck!

I would say that it's not much of an issue unless the long press end key feature is always triggered or u couldn't hold calls at all because of it. as for ending calls that can be done by pressing the end call button in the onscreen dialer.
