energy ROM cannot be backed up by Sprite Backup
 

I am using the latest July 4th version Energy ROM 29022 build Sense 2.5 cookie 2.0. It doesn't seem to work with Sprite Backup. After the ROM is loaded and running, I immediately ran the Sprite Backup, but was told the backup failed, system files couldn't be backed up.

I used the Jun 11 version, same result.

Am I alone on this?

Well, I just restored my install and made a new backup. Duh?

BTW, looks like it could be curtains for the old TP2... have a $42 android G3 Optimus S on order from eBay.... Will see how it works out. The reason I know the restore works is the system is so unstable....

is this a TP2 bash post? have fun on that low res small screened optimus.

as for what the OP asked u can try using spb backup but it's not recommend to make a backup on one rom and then restore it on another. tons of problems can be caused by doing that.

Thank you for answering. I am not trying to use the same backup file on different ROMs. I cannot even make a restore file from the latest energy ROM. After backing up, Sprite told me the backup had failed...

It could be that there is something about the system files of that rom that Sprite doesn't like so I guess try a different backup solution. :dontknow:

Tried SPB backup. It completed with warning. Some files for Twitter couldn't be backed up. No matter, I don't use Twitter anyways. Thanks!
