Re: US Cellular version on Tmobile, Full funcionality?
I have it in Gsm only now. Took me awhile to find it heh...anyhow there are two questions. I'm gonna ask in sharkie's as well. But first is do you know where I could find a non data version of IM app? The only one I could find was data based, and not Sms based.
Second: There is a program that I have always used on window phones. Omnia, tilt, tilt2, etc. Rom has never made a difference. It's compatible(or is supposed to be) with all window OS' From 6.0-6.5. I know I had it one my tilt2 before running the deep shinning 6.5.5 and also tpc 6.5 roms. The program loads up fine, but if you open anything all the texts are just bubbles instead of letters. The program is a collection of many books, magazines, the bible, etc. Like I said you can see the index fine, but if you try to read a scripture for example it just shows bubble text. This is the first time that's ever happened with this program. I didn't try to load it on the phone before sharkies, but I wouldn't think the rom should affect it, but you got any ideas? I am currently using sharkies generic, not the (x). Radio 1.96.0ESN thanks, Michael |

Finding a cab of that may prove to be very difficult unless the guys at T-Mobile can help you with that. I'll try to help you find it. Someone with a T-Mobile Rhodium(TP2) may have a source or can share it with you. It may have to be extracted from a T-Mobile rom. Your bubble text issue sounds like a missing or altered font. I bet Sharkie skinned something or changed a font that your app uses and that's why you're seeing what you're seeing. Maybe just need to install and/or uninstall a font. |

yea, thanks again. It was a font issue. After changing the font everything reads perfect. I'll post something on xda about the IM app, there are a number of -tombile based roms over there.

Re: US Cellular version on Tmobile, Full funcionality?
well I was able to get a number to send a message, or email..However it's not a full time thing where I receive messages, or emails, and so I still can't chat. I talked to a representative, as previously they told me that I would be able to use their IM/email services on the TP2 with no data/wifi. He told me that the reason it's not working on my phone is that it's not the original Tmobile version. And that their service works on all HTC devices.
That is false as I have tried it on two HTC Tmobile devices. Vibrant, and 3g slide. Neither connects to IM without data. So not sure what to do next. |

por to'de lo que sé no se puede chatear sin usar la conexión data. puede que tenga que cambiar su plan.
