Re: won't charge again.
what ROM are u running again? and do u have the nuebattery program or drivers (1% charge meter) installed? that has been known to cause problems with charging and some roms even have the nuebattery drivers built into them.

Wirelessly posted (htc Pocket PC: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)
Task29 and reflash or flash shipped rom and if no joy you have a hardware problem. |
Re: won't charge again.

Re: won't charge again.
is there a 1% driver that will work with the stock rom?

Re: won't charge again.
I have the same issue with any rom I use. even stock rom.
(although when it was originaly stock and not unlocked I could charge ANYWHERE) Issues are traced to any rom that used a 1% bat cab. But I cannot charge on ANY computer that does not have a 2.0 usb, (macs, old pcs.. car chargers......) If my phones off it can charge anywhere, but it can only charge when on if plugged into a 2.0 usb, most vista or windows 7 computers pretty much :/ |
Re: won't charge again.
usb 1.x will max out at 500ma, and typically slightly less if not only 100 or 200ma. the phone will still pull power from the usb, but if there's not enough left to provide charge all it will do is pull less from the battery at least providing more time to get to a better source.

Requardless the phone wont charge. The phone uses more energy then the usb puts back so it just delays the death. |
Re: won't charge again.
i don't remember what the real problem was with wall chargers and 1% driver, since i've never had the problem myself, or if I did I quickly fixed it with a new rom, hard-reset, or simple battery pull.
I actually have been using the latest official rom since it cam out and strip it down to what I actually want and keep fresh backups. I have a backup phone/battery so the 10% indicator works for me. also I've maintained my batteries well and a full charge still lasts me a few days unless i do a ton of surfing or talking on my phone. combined with a backup phone/battery I always have a full one available. |
