Swap SMS to new TP2 from old TP2
 

Hi,

I broke my TP2's display a week and a have ago. I was not able to get another TP2 until today. Can I grab the folder or file that has my old text and put them on my new TP2? I need to se who has texted me recently.

Have you tried connecting your TP2 to your PC and using My Mobiler?
Windows Mobile - My Mobile You may be able to see your texts. If this works, then run PIM Backup on the old TP2 to backup calendar, contacts, texts to your SD Card....

Let me know. I'm curious if this works.

I did as instructed by you and I got it all back. Im getting an evo 3D this week do you think I can use this back up with it? Is it cross platform?

Cool, I've seen this suggested before, but didn't know if it actually worked.
Per the PIM Backup manual, 'If the backup is a text backup, for each kind of item backed up, there will be a dedicated file, with a specific extension; respectively "csc" for contacts, "csl" for call logs, "csa" for appointments, "cst" for tasks, "csd" for speed dials, "csm" for messages and "csx" for custom files.' So there may be way to get them to Android, but I don't know.

Getting your contacts and appointments have a better chance because they MIGHT be able to be imported into Google and then sync'd to your Evo. No experience there either. I would check Dotfred's PimBackup for more info.
