Well, that sounds frustrating!! The Bing orentation is not a 'problem' with the program. It would just be nice if it would have a heads up display option! Anyway, I will continue to use it with a smile!! Too bad they took out the 'Gas Prices' feature that Live used to have!!

why would u google for bing. That's an oxymoron ,its also available in the marketplace.

Not strange. My personal preverence is Google for search and Bing for maps, as I think many do.

On a side note I used Bing navigation for the first time and I was very impressed with it...

I was just curious for those who have used it is there a way to make the map orientate to the direction your traveling... I have to rotate my phone so to how im traveling so it makes sense..

Is there a setting to change? I checked but couldn't find it.

I think you're stuck with that orientation. Most of the GPS guidance programs always show "North" as up, just like hard copy maps.

its probly still there. IMO going out hunting for cheaper gas prices is pointless because u'd be burning more gas going there .

True, but if you are traveling, then it can help you to find which exit to take!! Sometimes the savings add up quickly!

What the hell are you talking about man.

The way gas prices are these days gas stations mark gases whatever they want or at least it seems that way. When I saw one gas station 30Cents cheaper then another that was 3 miles down the road.

Lets be safe and say you save on average 20 cents a gallon and fill your tank. average 16 gallon tank. and the average cost of gas 3 dollars a gallon.

$3.20 x 16 gallons= $51.2
vs
3.0 x 16 gallons = $48

That's a difference of $3.2 that means you get an extra gallon of gas plus 20 cents extra. Lets exclude the 20 cents. I would say the average car gets 18 miles per gallon in the city.

There is no way you would waste that 18 miles looking for a gas station. If you know before hand what the prices are then you could efficiently use your gas to get to that gas station.

SINCE THE ANNUAL MILEAGE OF THE AVERAGE USER IS AROUND 12,000

16 gallons x 18 miles/per gallon = 288 miles per tank.

12,000 annual miles/ 288miles per tank= 41.8 refills.

Since you will be saving an extra gallon of gas every refill then you would be saving around 42 gallons of gas and $134 a year.

Since United States of America has a population of around 310 million people, Lets exclude the rest of the world.

310 million people x 42 gallons of gas saved = 13,020,000,000 billion gallons of gas saved a YEAR!

You would not only people helping yourself but you would be helping the world!!

So before you put in your 2 cents make sure you know what your talking about!

Tinkerbell keep on doing what your doing girl dont let these kinds of people sway you from what is right

Re: Bing app maps?

Pretty off topic, but saving money on a gallon of gas won't mean you use any less gas. You'll use the same amount of gas (or more/less if you drive around to stations you don't normally use). A better way to put your "13,020,000,000 billion gallons of gas saved a YEAR!" would be a dollar amount, because price is the only difference between the gallons of gas if you negate the distance traveled to said gas station(s). You'll potentially be saving money in your wallet, but you certainly aren't saving the world if you're still consuming the same amount of gas (regardless if you pay more or less for it) :).
