text message sounds

Does anybody know of a good program that I can assign different text message sounds to certain people??? I purchased Text Message Secretary from Marketplace about 3 months ago, and it was working fine up until 2 days ago when I noticed everybody's text message sounds were the same, even the people I assigned custom rules to. I also looked at the sounds and notifications menu and my text message sound got changed oh so suddenly and I believe that just messed everything up. Any suggestions??

maybe try undoing all the changes that were mysteriously made. it also seems like the 2 programs are conflicting with eachother so u can also try uninstalling then reinstalling text message secretary

I tried that twice, recreated and re-assigned the rules for my contacts and it still didnt work. The system is overriding that program for some reason.

Try reinstalling the program. From the sound if it, it may be a program that runs at startup to manage the text sounds as they come in, so it's possible that the service isn't running, and therefore cannot detect the text messages. (depends on if that's the way the program works though!)

I tried reinstalling it twice and reassigning the custom rules to my contacts but it still didnt work...i guess I could try it again and see what happens...3rd time might be a charm!!

afraid so. hard resetting actually isnt that bad if u have all ur contacts backed up and marketplace easily reinstalls all ur programs when u login. after thats done i recommend u get a program called spb backup so that once u get everything working to the way u like it again u can just backup and then when u hard reset ull be back up and ready within 5 mins as opposed to 90min to 2 hours

+1 for SPB Backup, best $ I ever spend. Anytime I am installing a program that I think may screw up my phone, I do a backup first. I also do a backup once a month, just in case. That way if something goes wrong all I have to do is restore. Or at worst, hard reset then restore. Minimal time to get everything back in shape.
